John Shelley of  Michelgrove. They had Two sons and two daughters

Sir John Gage 1538 - 1595
Who married 1st Margaret Copley, 2nd Elizabeth Littleton
No children so His brother thomas son Sir John became 1st Baronet
He took over from his father Sir Edward but was not in public favour
and suffered under the new penal laws and was committed to  prison for
“Obstinacy in Poppery”.He was remembered  for the tombs he had done
to commemorate his Grandfather ,Grandmother and his Mother
and Father in the Gage Chapel in  St. Peters Church  at Firle..
They  were designed by Gerard Janssen in 1595.
